BOYCE LAUNCHES PETITION FOR BIG TELCO SENATE INQUIRY

Federal Member for Flynn, Colin Boyce has launched a petition for a Senate Inquiry into regional telecommunications.

Mr Boyce said regional telecommunications would have to be one of the biggest issues in the Flynn electorate no matter where you live.

“It’s time for the big telecommunications companies such as Telstra and Optus to put people before profit,” Mr Boyce said.

“Story after story from constituents in the Flynn electorate are seriously distressing.

“Things need to change and that is why I am calling for a Senate Inquiry into regional telecommunications as the big telecommunications companies are clearly not meeting their obligations.

“You can sign my petition by visiting my Facebook page or website: https://www.colinboyce.com.au/regional-telecommunications-senate-inquiry-petition/.

“I have also written to the 2024 Regional Telecommunications Review Committee urging them to visit the Flynn electorate and hear directly from stakeholders that have felt the brunt of inadequate telecommunications for far too long.

“I encourage businesses and residents to provide feedback about their views and experiences using telecommunications services to the committee as I for one know that the big telecommunications companies are letting us down.”
