Boyce: “Where’s the funding Labor?”

Federal Member for Flynn, Colin Boyce has called on the Labor Government to answer where’s the funding?

Mr Boyce said Labor promised the world for Central Queensland before the last election and 12 months on since they were elected, many projects are still in doubt.

“The former Labor candidate for Flynn claimed on May 24, 2022, that a Labor Government “will deliver for our community” by honouring every funding commitment,” Mr Boyce said.

“However, it has been reported that just one in 66 QLD sports grants have reached a funding agreement.

“These valuable organisations are run by hardworking volunteers who are the very fabric of our communities.

“Every day of delay is at the detriment of these community groups.

“There has also been confirmation that the $120 billion infrastructure investment pipeline is under review casting doubt on many projects in our region.

“It appears that the Federal Labor Government are happy to strip critical funding from regional projects and pump the money into metropolitan areas. There also hasn’t been a commitment that vital regional Queensland infrastructure projects will not be impacted by the review.

“I believe a promise is a promise, every single dollar committed for Flynn and Central Queensland must be delivered.

“So, I ask the Federal Labor Government again, where’s the funding?”
