I wish to extend my congratulations to the Moura Community Progress Association and the Banana Shire Council on the opening of the Moura Miners Memorial on Saturday, 9 November.
I was pleased to attend and witness a large crowd of locals recognising the significance of this Miners Memorial that has been years in the making.
I am honoured to pay my respects to those who lost their lives in these devastating accidents that will forever be remembered with the construction of such a memorial.
