Gladstone Hospital Petition

Representing Flynn in the Federal Parliament

The electorate of Flynn is over 132,000 square kilometres and is almost twice the size of Tasmania.

It stretches from the Central Highlands to the West, Gracemere to the North, Gladstone to the East and Wondai to the South while taking in the towns in between.

I drive over 50,000 kilometres a year staying in touch with our local communities and spend around 20 weeks in Canberra representing you in Parliament.

My electorate offices are open in the following locations to service the large Flynn electorate:

  • 76 Goondoon Street, Gladstone QLD 4680
  • 2/115 Egerton Street, Emerald QLD 4720
  • 39 Capper Street, Gayndah QLD 4625

I’m committed to taking Flynn forward.

Our new Gayndah staffer, Margie has hit the ground running supporting constituents around the Burnett.

This week she visited her old primary school Binjour Plateau State School and read to the students.

A great experience!

Energy madness has no bounds!

The Gladstone Ports Corporation have publicly stated that the hydrogen industry in Gladstone will need 110 gigawatts to produce 4 million tons per year of hydrogen. This will require 10,000 wind turbines, 2,500km2 of solar panels to be built and 45,000 mega litres of water each year (over half the capacity of Rookwood Weir) to reach this target.

The image below is what around 2,500km2 of solar panels would look like.

Lord knows where they’re going to chuck 10,000 wind turbines. Perhaps the Great Barrier Reef or not?

Peter Dutton has delivered the Coalition's Budget in Reply.

He outlined the following measures:

✅Increase workforce participation, by recommitting to doubling the work bonus for around 80,000 pensioners and veterans.

✅ Support small businesses, by extending the value of assets eligible for the instant asset write-off.

✅ Deliver more affordable and reliable energy by ramping up domestic gas production.

✅ Incentivise junior doctors training in general practice.

✅ Improve community safety with tougher knife laws, tight bail laws, improved online safety and by tackling antisemitism.

✅ Boost Defence by reprioritising wasteful spending.

✅ Reduce permanent migration – from 185,000 to 140,000 for two years (then 150,000 in year three and 160,000 in year four).

✅ Implement a two-year ban on foreign residents purchasing existing homes.

I'm backing Peter Dutton to be our next Prime Minister.
