Gladstone Hospital Petition

Representing Flynn in the Federal Parliament

The electorate of Flynn is over 132,000 square kilometres and is almost twice the size of Tasmania.

It stretches from the Central Highlands to the West, Gracemere to the North, Gladstone to the East and Wondai to the South while taking in the towns in between.

I drive over 50,000 kilometres a year staying in touch with our local communities and spend around 20 weeks in Canberra representing you in Parliament.

My electorate offices are open in the following locations to service the large Flynn electorate:

  • 76 Goondoon Street, Gladstone QLD 4680
  • 2/115 Egerton Street, Emerald QLD 4720
  • 39 Capper Street, Gayndah QLD 4625

I’m committed to taking Flynn forward.

Recently the Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) Southern Queensland launched a campaign urging graziers to get in touch if they’re having financial difficulties due to rising costs.

The Rural Financial Counselling Service (RFCS) Southern Queensland offers free, impartial and confidential financial counselling to primary producers who are experiencing or at risk of financial hardship. Their local Rural Financial Counsellors work alongside primary producers to explore financial options and help them stay in control of their farm business finances.

Team Boyce and I loved the 2024 Callide Valley Show!

With two days of non-stop action and entertainment, it’s one of the region’s major events.

Thank you to the hardworking volunteers of the Show who have been bringing the community together and showcasing local livestock, produce and craftsmanship for many years.

Our new Gayndah staffer, Margie has hit the ground running supporting constituents around the Burnett.

This week she visited her old primary school Binjour Plateau State School and read to the students.

A great experience!

Energy madness has no bounds!

The Gladstone Ports Corporation have publicly stated that the hydrogen industry in Gladstone will need 110 gigawatts to produce 4 million tons per year of hydrogen. This will require 10,000 wind turbines, 2,500km2 of solar panels to be built and 45,000 mega litres of water each year (over half the capacity of Rookwood Weir) to reach this target.

The image below is what around 2,500km2 of solar panels would look like.

Lord knows where they’re going to chuck 10,000 wind turbines. Perhaps the Great Barrier Reef or not?
