My Adjournment speech (25 May 2021) was on the proposed Smoky Creek Solar Farm, and comparing it to the Callide Power Station which has been established in Biloela since 1988.
The explosion at Callide today highlights our need for reliable base-load power supply, with the wide-spread power losses felt by nearly half a million homes and businesses.
Fortunately there were no injuries and all were safely accounted for.
